MKWC offers seasonal opportunities for volunteers to participate in hands-on
fisheries and upslope restoration projects. We also offer workshops that provide
information and expertise on restoration techniques and gather
community input on a wide variety of land management topics. Check
our events and opportunities pages for more
information on specific workshops and volunteer workdays. Or better yet,
join us at our monthly meetings held on the first Monday of each month at our new
watershed center in Orleans from 6-8pm or in Happy Camp every
other month on the second Tuesday. We have updates from USFS, Karuk Tribe DNR, MKWC and
OSB FSC personnel on emerging natural resource issues and upcoming
opportunities for community participation.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, MKWC relies in part on
volunteers, interns and tax-deductible donations. Our volunteers and interns gain valuable
skills while helping the land and community. We occasionally
have job openings. We also welcome donations (which are tax deductible).
For more information on donations, internships, volunteer
opportunities, and employment please
contact the Mid Klamath Watershed Council or see our events and
opportunities page.
